Our philosophy
Wabi Sabi
In the Japanese culture, this can be translated as ‘To love the imperfect’. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature. We understand that a vintage piece has already been loved and worn, so signs of wear or possible flaws might be present. For every item, we do our best to describe the flaws, as we want our clients to be aware of the condition of the item they are purchasing. At Kanelle Vintage, Wabi Sabi is our philosophy, our mindset. In every vintage garment, we appreciate its uniqueness and its soul.
Furoshiki
When possible, we wrap your orders in the Japanese manner named Furoshiki. We use vintage tissue sourced locally and antique ribbon in various colors and patterns. We also use eco-friendly tissue paper, produced in France. Each package ships in recycable mailers.
